Was a good stay!
The villa is even more beautiful than what you see in the pictures. If you are interested in old restored houses, this is the perfect place for you. Erick has maintained the house beautifully. Every corner of the house is picture perfect. Babu and his wife were very nice and helpful.
As much as I was excited to visit Erlick’s place, I did not get the treatment I felt I deserved. Prior to my visit, I had informed Erlick that I was bringing pets along, however upon reaching, I felt my pets weren’t welcomed anywhere and had to be locked up in the room we were staying in. I didn’t mind that but it seemed that my pets were looked at as a problem even though they did not trouble anyone, which made me feel uncomfortable and I cut short my trip. One thing that made me upset was that Erlick judged my lifestyle and called me ‘weird’ for traveling to his place in a cab and not in a private car. Not everyone that visits goa has a car and I usually expect the host to arrange for some kind of transport during my travels. I would not be visiting Erlick’s place again, that’s for sure.
Erlick is just a lovely host, and his place is exactly as described in the listing. we had a great stay, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a different side to Goa. p.s: some things to be mindful of as you plan your trip - as described in the listing, there is no wifi and it is 30-45 ride to areas like Colva, Palolem, etc.
We had a lovely stay at Erlick’s place. He was kind enough to upgrade us to a large room. The view of the paddy field was a nice attraction. And the Portuguese Architecture was very intriguing. Babu, the caretaker and his team were proactive in taking care of our needs. It was an overall pleasant experience and would highly recommend Erlick’s place to anyone wishing to visit South-Goa.

I am from an engineering background who loves antiques and has an ambition to restore old houses keeping in mind the ancient heritage. My dream is to show people who come to our lovely state of Goa its background and culture of how it was 150 years ago. I have been restoring my own houses to reconnect them with the aesthetic essence of our beautiful memories. I love to help people, make friends and do not shy away from going the extra mile in keeping people who stay with me at my premises comfortable. Born & bought up in Goa, so music and traveling is a hobby that I indulge on a regular basis. I am also an animal lover. I look forward to welcoming you to my lovely home & having some lovely conversations over a couple of drinks.
