The house was as advertised- renovated, clean, great views from the roof deck, golf cart (a necessity), and just about everything worked. The dryer died, but we didn’t come here to do laundry, and it was replaced in 2 days (no small feat on this remote island). The island has beautiful beaches and scenery, we’ll definitely come back.

Our family with four kids just had a great week staying at this gorgeous house on North Captiva! The house was in a quiet location, nicely decorated, super comfortable, kitchen had a huge island for 6, was well stocked with all the necessities to prepare meals, groceries were delivered to the house for us - we didn’t want to worry about bringing them in the ferry but next time we saw that’s easier than expected bc Publix grocery will “boat pack” for you. All in all the house and island delivered. We saw the manatees including a baby, found great shells on the beach near our house, watched a sea plane take off from the airstrip, swam at the island club pool, booked a boat with Boats and Fun to island hop to watch dolphins and search for more shells and even found live sand dollars on the ocean floor at Cayo Costa (we didn’t keep them but it was amazing). We will be back with plans to check out Cabbage Key and book a fishing trip now that we learned the captain even cleans the fish!
