Would not recommend. Ended up finding another place to stay upon check in the place was not clean enough to stay. Rodent feces everywhere, stains, dead mice and roach eggs on sticky glue traps. Host was not reasonable had to get air bnb involved for full refund.

Quiet and private house but in needs of serious in-depth cleaning. Although we do not care about having a modern or upscale place to stay (which we were aware of before coming as advertised) there is one non-negotiable that does not justify lower prices: cleanliness. The photos on the site must have been taken a while ago when items/furniture were newer and clean, but things have been left to degrade. We did not use the 1st floor as the rug in the bathroom was totally moldy as well as the mattress in the master bedroom (mold stains). We did not use the patio furniture being moldy or the grill (food residue left-over). The ping-pong table was broken and not as featured on the photo. The inside liner of the tub was moldy. Most the towels provided were dirty and we had to wash them upon our arrival. The bedrooms upstairs were OK but we had to vacuum the carpet. The inside of the freezer was moldy. Should the place had been clean, our stay would have been a different experience.

This place is great, but as Benjamin says in the description, please don’t think it’s the Taj Mahal. It is a very rustic setting which is exactly what we wanted. You don’t see anyone else if you don’t want to. We came the week after Christmas and it was beautiful with all the snow! Do not attempt it if there is snow and you don’t have 4-wheel, you may not make it. It was perfect for what we wanted. No cell reception AT ALL. I was in SOS mode the entire time. HOWEVER, the Wi-Fi was excellent so I could Wi-Fi call or FaceTime with anyone I needed to. Benjamin was very informative and very honest about the place. There is nothing wrong with it, though. It was comfortable and used and loved. It needs some updating but was clean and I didn’t have any issues. My only complaint was the Hot Tub. It was not working and that was the reason we had picked the place. I asked Benjamin about it and he gave me instructions to get it filled and running but that wasn’t for us. Just ask him prior to.

If you’re looking for a house in the woods, this is the place! It’s quiet and secluded, we saw some deer and turkeys right outside the front door. This property is as described, it is not a fancy upscale place, but it did the job. We used the fire pit and enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the wildlife. Ben was a great host and communicated well. We will be back next year.

Very good communication with the owner Benjamin very clean and loved how private from any other neighbors. The bed were very comfortable. House was great and loved by my family and the kids loved the ping pong table and the pool table. Thanks again Benjamin. I will come back again if the house is available next year. Also lots of wildlife. Very pet friendly also. Steve Shirk and family
