Our stay was perfect. The house felt SO clean when we arrived. The views were breathtaking. I sat in the gazebo almost every morning with coffee to watch the sunrise. The photos on the website don't do the house justice. The living/dining/kitchen areas are all open and the layout flows very well. It's incredibly cozy but the high ceilings give it an extra special feel. The landscaping around the house gives you tons of privacy even with the windows and shades open. Highly recommend!!!
The sky full of stars was really magnificent! Surrounding by endless mountains. Cute down and friendly people! Very comfortable house! Of course!
Perfect balance of rustic charm and modern amenities. Convenient location and great views. Everything you need for a mountain get-away and a few things you wouldn't expect. Would definitely go back to Windswept.
Pictures do not do this cottage justice. The rustic feel throughout the cottage is matched perfectly with the beautiful fireplace and absolutely incredible views. Our toddler and dog took full advantage of the large field! We have been coming up to EM my whole life, first time here and it is definitely my favorite! Bayard is also incredible at communication, concise and quick, as a Type A person it was just what I needed! We will be back next year for sure!

自我介绍
We're family owners located in DC, originally from Ohio and Pennsylvania. Like a lot of working couples, we value those few weeks each year when we can stash the smartphones, turn on the Out of Office, grab our bathing suits / hiking shoes / a few good long books, and just rediscover each other in a place we love. Our family of origin built this home nearly half a century ago, and has continually maintained and enjoyed it every year since. We first visited this village in the 1950s, returning to vacation here many times before finally deciding to build. Our summers there have defined key moments in our lives: sailing and swimming races, student theater productions at the Arts Center, trailblazing woods around the lake, hiking and camping in World's End and Ricketts Glen State Parks, and of course the town's annual Water Carnival. We love this place - and want to share it with couples and small families or groups who would savor a smarter, simpler, more intimate time away.
