Exclusive, secluded Eco off grid camping in 13 arcres of magical meadow and ancient woodlands with pretty streams set in the Blackdown Hills an area of outstanding natural beauty. This hidden gem has 2 camps each with your own loo, shower and kitchen tent. The camping meadow is set between 2 ancient woodlands, a Devon county wildlife site and hosts an array of wildlife including buzzards, owls and dear and much more, if you're lucky you may spot the glow worms at night in the meadow. The camp includes a 5m bell tent furnished with a double bed and 2 single foldout beds and a wood stove. A large fire pit you can cook on. A fitted out kitchen tent with kettle, 2 ring gas stove and pots/plates/cutlery/coffee pot etc You will have your very own Donkey closet which has a compost loo, sink and a hot shower.

Just got back from a weekends stay! It was honestly one of the best weekends we have had as a family. From start to finish it was amazing. We arrived and was greeted by Penny and her beautiful and friendly dog cooper! The kids had a ride on the quad bike to our stay which was a great touch, they loved it! They camp has everything you could need or want….great kitchen and cooking facilities! The surroundings are stunning and we took full advantage of the woodlands that surround you. We put our Coats and wellies on and we were in there for hours! The highlight of the trip was the pizza oven! Penny was so helpful. She even left us a crate of wood for us the make the fire! We sat there all evening making the dough and cooking pizzas! Such a great experience and will definitely be going back next year! Thank you Penny and copper

Penny’s campsite is so beautiful!!! It’s such a magical and special place that I know we’ll return to throughout the years. Also very handy as it’s a 30 min walk into Hemyock (as long as your comfortable walking down lanes with cars etc.). Penny and her family (including Cooper the dog!) are all super friendly and helpful - we’ll definitely be back 🧡
What a fabulous little place. Stayed here with my husband, 2 daughters and dog. Lovely setting, just what we wanted out in the countryside. Penny was very helpful and the kids loved the quad bike trailer carting our gear to the field. The kitchen had everything we needed and the alfresco shower was a hit. Great way to end the school holidays.
Absolutely fab couple of days at Lickham Bottom, the location is wonderful, lots of wide open space and a lovely camp set up. The bell tent was comfy and the outdoor kitchen was a great addition. Compost loo and outdoor shower were perfect. We hired the pizza oven too which was great. Kids, dog and grown ups all loved it. The weather wasn’t perfect but that didn’t dampen our stay. Penny was so friendly, helpful and on hand if needed. Kids loved trips to and from the camp in the quad bike trailer with all our belongings! Would highly recommend a stay here with a great host.

Set in the heart of the Blackdown Hills, with the village of Hemyock one mile away which has a Pub, shop and post office.
There are plenty of Spectacular walks in the surrounding area, Culmstock beacon is a favourite of mine with outstanding views to Exmoor.
There is room for 1 car to park near the house and I will be on hand to help take your stuff down to the camp with the quad bike if needed. Otherwise you can use the wheelbarrow .
