We loved our stay at the River House! The house is so beautiful and unique, with lots of character and charm. This is the perfect place to stay as a family. As a plus, Chris was amazing and very responsive. The house is easy to access and right off of the brook. Easy drive to Stowe, Montpelier, a grocery store a few minutes north, and other spots, plus it's in a walkable village! Although it was a little too snowy to enjoy the deck, it must be so beautiful in the summer! The kitchen is thoughtfully designed and seemed very new. The dining table is roomy and fit our family (and provides beautiful views of the brook). The living room is equally comfortable with a large sectional and enough space for the family to hang out. The bedrooms are very comfortable, with clean sheets and great beds. Awesome place to stay if you are visiting the Mad River Valley and this area of Vermont!

Chris was a wonderful host and his home was wonderful. Our two families found the house to be perfect for our winter getaway with ample space and excellent amenities. Highly recommended.

If you’re looking for an authentic Vermont experience, this is the place for you. A beautiful and roomy historic home right in the village of Warren. Freeman Brook is visible from every room and Sugarbush Ski Resort is 10 minutes. It’s the real deal!

Chris’ place in Warren was wonderful. A great house, great location and a great host. The house was very comfortable, very clean, as good if not better than the description. I recommend this home highly!! Just think you can go to sleep and wake up to the sound of a bubbly stream then go to the Warren Store for breakfast. Great stay!

The River House was perfect for our VT stay. We wanted to be centrally located to Woodstock and Stowe - and we saw so much of the area staying in this location. It’s in such a peaceful, beautiful spot, and the Warren Store (2 min walk at most) has such great food - we went everyday. And the sound of the river was the icing on the cake. The house has so much charm - and has everything you could need. Thank you for offering such a wonderful home!
