Amazing location!

This home was located in a great spot and large enough to accommodate our large family. However it was extremely dirty and we had to clean before we could all settle in. The microwave did not work and we never were able to gain WiFi access. We were promised our cleaning fee back and still have not received it. I would not stay here again. Vacassa communication and follow through was poor. They did not and have not resolved our issues. Overall disappointed.

I’ve stayed in several AIRbnb homes and this one, by far, was the worst. If it were cleaned properly, and as stated in the description, it may have been better. This house was not in good shape and was not as advertised. It needs some tlc to make the price worth the stay. The downstairs living area smelled stale and like mildew, the tv didn’t work, and the dryer was completely inoperable. On top of those things (just in the lower level!) the bed linens were covered in hair and dirt when we arrived- it was absolutely disgusting and disappointing. We were refunded $60 for the dryer, which really didn’t help the situation. We were told cleaning and Covid-19 sanitation was instated at this home, but it was apparent that it wasn’t. We contemplated just going to a Motel 6 at first glance and taking the $1600+ hit. Looking back, we should have. Moving to the upper level of the house: the same with the linens here (no surprise!) - covered in hair and dirt. We ended up taking the linens off and found a huge yellow spot on the mattress protector that would gross out just about anyone. We threw our own blankets over the bed and slept on those, hesitantly. There was sand and a healthy layer of dirt on the floors and counter tops unopened our arrival, the walls were cracked, loose tiles in the bathroom, the shower didn’t close all the way, the oven didn’t close, and the massive sliding doors were almost inoperable too. The couch s were dirty, the massive glass table was, at best, iffy, to sit at because the top was loose from the frame. I can’t complain too much about the outside- the decks were nice but the marsh around the house supplied enough mosquitoes to keep us inside. (Not really an “owner issue”, I’m aware). Would not recommend until assurances of items are fixed.

House was the lone survivor after Hurricane Ike, so it is not a newer build. However, the location was very great.
