The location was wonderful and the space was great. Instructions for locks, spa and check out were either missing or inaccurate. That being said the management company was easy to contact and more than willing to come to the house to help us out. The spa was difficult to keep heated so we could continue to use it (similar to the other reviews). We had a wonderful girls trip and would recommend for others.

I think it should be easier, for the price, to check in. We had to stop and get 2 keys and drop off keys when leaving. A house that sleeps 14 people should allow mobile entry. Also, they keys for the front door never locked with ease. It was a pain, also why mobile entry would be better. The charcoal grill was definitely a pain. Propane tanks are easier and desired. The fridge was left open by cleaners before we arrived so it took a LONG time to get back down to temp. This is inconvenient for people that are hauling food with them, same with freezer. Fridge upstairs was frozen over so it leaked water into the bedroom during the entire stay as it thawed. Other than these few things, it was a great stay. We’d definitely stay again if these things are addressed in the future. Mostly the grill and key situation.

we enjoyed our stay for cheer competition. access to the beach was great! absolutely loved the privet pool and hot tub.

1. House contained zero instruction manuals, e.g. - how to use televisions, especially living room with 3 separate remotes they were difficult. -how to lock front door -how to use spa/whirlpool 2. The SPI staff informed us that it was too cold for spa/pool to heat but next door house guests had heated spa and pool daily. Ours started working only on Feb 11. (We checked in on Feb 4. So 8 days unusable. PREVIOUS REVIEWS mentioned spa/pool issues too. 3. 5 br house for 12 only had a couch, loveseat and 2 chairs, none very comfortable and certainly not adequate for 10-12 people. 4. 3 king size beds had plastic (bed wetting ?) sheets noisy and offensive. The beds had been fitted with “bunky boards” underneath mattresses that groan and creak with every movement. Not comfortable. 5. Front and rear bedroom balcony porches continued no chairs so worthless 6. Pool Area had zero lounges plus 2 heavy steel chairs and 2 heavy steel loveseats not easy to move or made for poolside. No table and chairs for outside dining. 7. SPI staff responded quickly with towels to soak up window and living room door leaks from rain after moving furniture out of the way. 8. The hvac, kitchen appliances were high end and the wifi was good. A television in every bedroom plus giant one in living room. A very appealing listing on SPI website but sketchy details once you’re inside. Do yourself a favor, SPI AND OTHERS on Padre have many other oceanfront choices, avoid this one. This was quite expensive and the value overall with these issues was poor.
