My daughter and I spent a couple of week's at Claus's apartment in New Malden. It felt like home, which, considering it is his residence, is no surprise. I'm not sure I expected all the family belongings still to be here but it wasn't a problem for me. We had a reason to stay in the vicinity so location-wise it was perfect for us. The station is extremely close and Kingston is a few minutes away, Central London less than 30 minutes in the other direction. Although close to the rail line, train noise was not a problem. The apartment had everything we needed, including two work stations, two TVs. It took a while to work out how to use the wifi in the small bedroom but we got there. Signal was good with no outages. Tesco Metro was a minute away, Waitrose and Lidl also easily walkable. Plenty of eating places in New Malden as well, especially if you like Korean food. All in all, despite not being as central as some people would like, I would recommend this place.

An ideal base for us to visit family and going into London. The flat has everything for a comfortable self catering stay and our son stayed for a couple of nights. The train station was minutes away. There is an excellent Italian restaurant on the High Street and shops and supermarkets are very close by. Netflix and Amazon Prime were a bonus for evenings in.
