Overall, it was a good stay. Location is beautiful and worth every penny. There is only one true bedroom with a queen bed that needs some maintenance. There is an upstairs loft that has 2 twin beds and a futon, but it has a slanted roof, so it isn't the best for adults or taller individuals. The washer and dryer are very outdated and need to be replaced. The place is in a very local area with a lot of places to grab some food and drinks at. The locals were very welcoming and treated us kindly. Easy ocean access in the back of the house just a flight of stairs away. You'll find that there are a lot of coral and rocks though which make it almost impossible to swim or do any other ocean water activity. There is a local beach within 3 minutes from the house that has better conditions and great snorkeling. Some of the surrounding area is a little run down, but we didn't let it take away from our trip. The place is prime for some young spring breakers or a single family with small kids.

would highly recommend excellent place to stay. Our host Richard was great very nice. beautiful home. would recommend bed upgrades// but Richard is in the process of installing more rooms ... hands down great place to stay.. George

My family and I (2 adults/3 kids) stayed at Casa Roark for a week during Spring Break 2024. We had a great time. Richard’s place is very clean and you are right on the ocean, so the constant sounds of the waves is quite relaxing. We spent many hours outside at the pool or laying on the net that goes over the ocean. There are steps that lead down to the ocean but the waves are pretty strong so we didn’t swim there. There is a Public beach about 10 minutes walk away that is protected by rocks and very swimmable. Richard met us at the property to check us in and gave us great restaurant recommendations. Panakeia was a favorite among our crew for breakfast/brunch. Casa Roark is about an hour west of San Juan. We liked the location because we had activities all over the island. All in all a very relaxing and great stay and if we ever make it back to Puerto Rico, Casa Roark would be our first choice.

Incredible place in a perfect location right on the water. Short walk to the public beach which was amazing. Plenty of space for my family. Kids had a fun time in the pool. Thank you

We had a great week at Casa Roark! We stayed with another family (4 kids and 4 adults total). The upstairs loft was perfect for the kids and the master bedroom and bath were great for my husband and myself. The other couple slept on the futon in the kitchen and said it was fine. The views and outdoor area were incredible- the patio look exactly (if not better) than the pictures. The pool was perfect- nicely heated, clean and a great size for the 8 of us. There was a great local beach a ten minute walk from the house. When we were there the private beach access wasn’t swimmable but we had a ton of fun collecting treasures, wading around and enjoyed watching the waves. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and there was a local grocery store that had everything we needed. Richard was extremely friendly, attentive and helpful during our stay!
