Great place to stay, noisy at night on a weekend but the host/apartment amazing.

I was already familiar with the area but lots of new restaurants since my last visit. Excellent location for exploring the Peak District. Bus stop right outside the apartment. Some noise from the bar on Saturday but not unbearable. Lovely apartment, cosy, everything you need is at hand. Very clean. Would stay here again :)

We found it very difficult to find. We had the address but found it hard to see as you were driving. It would have been helpful to say it had a blue door! We didn't know where to park either. We found a spot behind the building which turned out to be the right place. In the welcome package was a tag to display so you didn't pay for parking. It would have been nice to have that information before we got there. My first impression as you approached was of a dirty door, I almost wiped it off myself! It was extremely noisy on the main street where the unit was located. The unit is surrounded by bars/restaurants and many nights during our stay there was VERY LOUD music playing, people fighting until all hours of the night. You could also easily hear all the vehicles going by. I was not aware that there wasn't any outlets in the bathroom. I guess that is the law in England but it wasn't easy to find an outlet near a mirror in another room to see as you use the blow dryer.

I recieved the check in instructions a few days before arrival that were very informative and accurate. The keys were in the key box and the flat was easy to access. I parked in the carpark behind the flat and bought a 3 day rover for £15 that covered my whole stay. It also allows parking in other carparks around the area. Its only a small carpark but i always found a space. The flat was lovely and clean and nice comfy beds. The shower had some mould around the seals but it did not effect my stay. It had everything at the flat that i needed. It only has blinds at the windows which made the bedrooms a bit bright in the mornings. The flat is on the busy main road so there is a lot of traffic noise but it didnt bother us. The only downside was a small bar across the road. It had a DJ on on friday and saturday night and the music was loud up until midnight. There are plenty restaurants and takeaways on the same street, all the menus are in a drawer in the kitchen.
