Nous avions réservé un appartement pour 10 personnes au centre de Newport. Suite à un "problème" informatique selon les loueurs, l'appartement a été loué deux fois. Ils nous ont, au dernier moment, attribué deux logements séparés, dans la périphérie de Newport, dans une banlieue pavillonnaire, sans accès facile. Aucune réduction de prix ne nous a été proposé en compensation. L'emplacement excentré nous a occasionné de nombreux frais annexes pour les déplacments

Location near town centre, fairly spacious inside the apartment. Heater worked on both floors. Floor was clean and towels provided. Smart TV, able to connect to Netflix. Oven and stove was working. Neighbours didn’t make much noise. However, kitchen equipments were either sticky, unusable or dirty as it wasn’t washed thoroughly. The microwave was missing its glass platform and cutleries were dirty. Looked like it was just cleaned where you could see and hadn’t been deep cleaned in a while. Both of the shower had faults. One of them kept getting clogged and the other one was very weak. Asked about the Wi-Fi and was completely ignored. Tv was working but it was damaged. Overall was a good find and near town centre but could really use deep cleaning and amending to the issues pointed out as it can cause hinderance to the customer.

The property was advertised as having air conditioning, there was no air conditioning. The property was advertised as having sofa beds, there were no sofa beds. The property was advertised as having a carbon monoxide detector, but there was no evidence of one. The upstairs shower stopped working after one use and the landlord Adam ignored my message about this. Even when sending a message thanking us for booking the property he failed to acknowledge my message about the shower. When turning the toaster on it tripped all of the other appliances on the same floor. Upon arrival, I found a disgusting well used scourer in kitchen sink and this was the only cleaning aid. The property is advertised as fit for 14 guests, however there was only 5 mugs and 3 forks. The hot tap in downstairs toilet wasnt working, when you went to turn it the whole unit turned. The lock on downstairs bathroom is completely inadequate. There was dust visible on the floor underneath the beds. The landlord failed to explain why there was a need to have a camera installed inside the property. You can only access the property via external stairs leading to a top floor apartment and there is a camera directly outside the entrance to the property. This should provide adequate protection in terms of safety and security for everyone. Overall I would describe the property as we found it as inadequate, it also lacked a nice fresh smell that you expect to find. The attitude from the landlord to ignore my communication when reporting problems is completely unacceptable and showed a complete lack of interest in his paying guests.

Had a couple of issues with heating and the owner was communicative and sent someone to fix the same day which was appreciated. Owner is very responsive on messages. Flat is lovely and spacious and lounge is nice place to relax / hang out. Guests with mobility issues or young children should be aware that entrance to the flat is at the rear, up some fire escape steps (two flights). These can become slippery when wet. I think the flat had been cleaned a while ago so could have done with some freshening up. Fireplace out of service and was a shame as had booked on the basis of the promising photo of the lounge with a fireplace.

Good place if there are lots of you staying, there is plenty of room and the place was really clean.
