The communication for the check in process was very clear and the actual process itself was a breeze. The house itself was very clean and tidy, and comfortably fit my husband and our two young boys. It was in a nice, quiet, and safe neighborhood that was close to the beach and main shopping and eating areas of Carmel. Highly recommend!

It’s a lovely home that feels more like a home and less like an airBnB. All the amenities were there and we appreciated how kid and pet friendly they were. The neighborhood is quiet and lovely and very close to the Carmel Mission. It’s a nice place to have a relaxing vacation (not a party or overly touristy type of experience). We enjoyed coffee in the beautiful backyard and patios, had lovely meals at home, walked to a garage sale nearby, and drove to all the nearby attractions within 15 minutes. We are back next year for a wedding and will be renting this place again!

After not being able to take time off or a vacation for 9 years, we could not have stayed in a more restful, ideally suited home for our family! Being able to bring our fur babies and have our adult children join us on the weekend, built memories we will cherish the rest of our lives. Serenity-by-the-Sea is a home we hope to return to at least twice a year! Staying in a home that is beautiful, with top amenities, private location, warm vibes and each bedroom done exquisitely (our adult children have high standards ;) contributed and essentially provided the environment for rest and relaxation to our week! We love Carmel and will definitely be returning! We also appreciated the warmth and positive energy of the Carmel Estate office staff when checking in! From start to finish it was a beautiful stay!

Our family enjoyed our time at the Airbnb. The location is within a beautiful, quiet neighborhood, but is also close to restaurants and shops. The home was spacious, clean, and perfectly matched the listing photos. Highly recommend “Serenity by the Sea” for a wonderful experience in Carmel!

Our CEO, MaryJane was an executive with the Hyatt for seven years. She chose to leave the work force and stayed home to raise three boys! MaryJane fell into a job I loved, managing a Vacation Rental Company on the Monterey Peninsula and fell in LOVE with the idea of renting homes instead of Hotels. She left the company and started her own business to continue her passion for meeting people near and far and sharing the love of travel.
