The Hobbit cottage was the perfect getaway for us. It was warm, welcoming and comfortable. As soon as we walked in the door we felt at home. The back room has a view of the marsh that we enjoyed while eating or just sitting on the loveseat relaxing. The cottage has lots of charm and was very clean. Perfect for 2 people. We really enjoyed our stay here and would love to come back again in the future. Thank you Brenda.

This was our 5th stay at the Hobbit Cottage. There is a reason we have been back 5 times, we always feel so at home here. Brenda’s place is so wonderful - peaceful, always as advertised, amazing location, great neighborhood, and more than cozy! The mini updates after every stay just add more and more to the space. We will be back again soon!

This is the second time we’ve stayed at the Hobbit Cottage. It’s such a nice, clean and comfortable little place. Plenty of privacy with a pond in the back yard where the ducks come in at dusk & leave again at dawn. It’s conveniently located mid-cape with plenty of nice restaurants nearby. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

I can't say enough good things about Hobbit Cottage. In the past, we've enjoyed other places we've rented, but there's usually one drawback. "We had a great time but for the bathroom," or "but for the lack of pots and pans." This was one of the few instances where everything was PERFECT. I can't stress enough how charming, clean, thoughtfully outfitted, and comfortable this cottage is, and how kind and responsive Brenda was as a host. We had something come up and had to arrive a day late, and Brenda couldn't have been more sympathetic and helpful. You honestly couldn't find a better host. Back to the cottage: not only did the three of us--my partner and I and our Pembroke Welsh Corgi--enjoy our stay in "The Hobbit," we found its location ideal. Just a 3 min drive from Nauset Beach and 2 min into the center of Orleans, it's perfect, as is its location on a peaceful, quiet marsh. This place is a gem.

The cottage is absolutely lovely, equipped with every convenience and amenity and very comfortable mattresses. The surroundings and view from the windows are beautiful, and the location is ideal for visiting the mid/outer Cape; a few minutes' drive to Nauset Beach or Orleans center. Highly recommended!
