Kitchen and House Renovation Completed in April 2023 - photos updated! Our ocean and sound view home is located in S. Nags Head 1 mi south of FishHeads. The Jacob St. beach access is across the street from our home. Enjoy the Community outdoor Pool, Tennis & Pickleball courts. Our design team helped us reimagine our home with a complete kitchen renovation, flooring replacement, painting and furniture replacement. It is now very open allowing even more sightlines of the Sound. This reverse floor plan home has 4 bedrooms (2 Master Bedrooms) and 3 full bathrooms, with 3 common areas that allow families to spread out during their stay. The outdoor deck on the top floor is perfect for relaxing, family meals and watching the ocean. Both front decks are covered so they are wonderful, even during a sunny day. A new Hot Tub was installed in June 2022. We also completed our exterior renovation in 2021 and our home now has a bed swing on the screened in porch, tasteful furnishings and a completely updated exterior. The 2 back decks, one on each level are a wonderful spot in the evening to watch the sunset, or just take in all the beauty of the Sound. You get these wonderful views from the game room off the back as well. A picnic area has been created behind our home with a large charcoal grill and 2 picnic tables allowing for outdoor gatherings. There is also a fire pit allowing for fun family time roasting s’mores or adult time with some wine, especially during those wonderful Fall evenings. There are some Adirondack chairs for relaxing around the fire pit. All TVs have Roku sticks for ease of use. Family room has a 65in TV with Roku Sound Bar for your enjoyment. There is a game room with a foosball table, TV, couch, large wall scrabble in addition to board games and puzzles. The twin bedroom has a Wii with plenty of games to play. Our house sits on the service road next to the main road. This street provides lots of room for the kids to bike, skateboard, etc. without all the traffic from the main road which is only 35 mph. There are also miles of wide sidewalks in S Nags Head, so you can easily bike, walk/run, etc. without fighting the cars. Our home is only 1 mile to Fish Heads and Fishing Pier, which is a pleasant walk especially in the Spring and Fall. When it is time to hit the beach, you simply walk out the front door and you are only 75 steps away from the beach access ramp and onto the sand. There is a shower and portable bathroom at the beach access, but we also have an outdoor shower with hot and cold water at the house with a changing room. Our home is equipped with beach chairs, boogie boards and beach toys, so you can leave all that at home. If you forget anything, popping back to the house is super easy. The community pool (Seasonal: Memorial Day till Sept 30) is located down the street from our home. You can walk there, or there is parking if you prefer to drive. The tennis and pickleball courts are 3 houses away, so if you are a tennis player, you can get in some quick matches.
