This is the second property of Jay’s that we have stayed in. Wonderful stay. Felt right at home. The place was clean and walkable to stores, metro, and restaurants. We would stay again should we need to stay in the Alexandria area again.

Jay was a great host and extremely responsive and the apartment was spotless when I walked in. The apartment was comfortable and in a pretty good location (close to metro and grocery stores) but lacking quite a bit of basic kitchen/cleaning supplies so I don't suggest this bnb for a long-term stay if you wish to do some cooking.

Area is nice only two blocks from Eisenhower Metro and resturants/grocery within walking distance. Downsides: Sparse linens only had 1 set of towels, no sheets for beds and the bed was very flimsy and frame was broken when we got there. Blinds where broken so people walking by could see into place and couldn't get good sleep due to street light/sunshine coming in. Kitchen was poorly stocked with dishes/utensils. Dryer didn't work so we had to wash the ONE set of towels and air dry them and it felt like sandpaper. Overall it was "ok" as a last minute booking or just 1 person wouldn't recommend for families or anything more than a night or two. For the price paid you would think you could get at least furnishings on par with a 3.5 star hotel.
