I highly recommend this home! David was truly a wonderful host and great communicator. The view was just beautiful and we loved the area. It was a very safe place to walk and great restaurants close by. The kitchen was well stocked and the house was clean and serviceable. If you are looking for a great place to stay, you will enjoy this great home. David is an exceptional host!

This was easily the BEST Airbnb experience I’ve ever had. We traveled for NYE with 5 adults, 2 toddlers, 1 baby, and dogs— this house had plenty of rooms for all of us to be comfortable, and the common areas were large enough for all of us to enjoy a movie or play with toys on the floor. The view was lovely. Despite being so close to amenities and a main road, it was quiet and serene. The kitchen was well stocked. The best part (to me) was the experience communicating with the owner David. I know many have grown tired of rental experiences that are run by unresponsive property managers, with unrealistic rules and check-out expectations. David is entirely the opposite of that, and the perfect host— very responsive, friendly, and reasonable. You can tell he loves his home and loves sharing it with others to enjoy. And we really did enjoy it!

There were two things that’s stood out. First was David’s willingness to help us in anyway. We really didn’t need any help but going to a new and strange place it is wonderful to know that someone is available to assist in anyway. The second is the location. It has the river on one side and downtown on the other. There is about a mile of river walk for walking and jogging and the main area of Algonac for shopping within minutes of the front door. We certainly enjoyed our stay and will return in the future. Fishing is very good and we limited out on walleye all 3 days that we fished. We even caught a 46 inch Muskie fishing for walleye.

My family and I had a great time at David's house. The location is lovely, lake facing, with a great view. Check in was easy with very clear instructions. The house was clean and most importantly more than large enough for our big family. Of note, the 'sun room' is a gorgeous space that is bright and large enough for our family to play Twister! ;) A great selection of fun family games. David was extremely responsive and pleasant to deal with from the minute we booked - offering recommendations on things to do and see. One night we used up the gas tank for the BBQ and another was delivered before lunch the next morning!! :) Also only a 1 hour drive into Detroit. Close enough to the city & far enough away to be a lovely cottage getaway! The house is also minutes away (seconds if you drive) from a quick ferry to/from Canada. As a Canadian this was fantastic!!
