The Oasis was exactly that! Our family stayed at this Airbnb over the Holiday to use as a little break from the crowdedness of Christmas while visiting Family in Michigan. The location was very convenient to our family’s home, as well as the adorably quaint town of Marine City lined with many shops & restaurants. Communication with the host was excellent, and they even thought of our small children and provided a little Christmas tree with ornaments for them to decorate, hot cocoa & a cookie decorating kit. We were blown away by this thoughtful gesture. Our family felt right at home with all of the amenities we needed, including laundry! The space felt new, super clean with comfy beds. We felt safe in the neighborhood, our favorites were The Riviera right next door for Breakfast & the Sweet Tooth Coffee shop. Our kids loved the Sweet Tooth Candy Shop. We can’t wait to come back this summer when we visit family again; we’re looking forward to using the fabulous outdoor Oasis space!

The location was awesome. The set up in the backyard was beautiful, the interior smells like everything was brand new. It was super clean. I will definitely book this place again!

We had a wonderful stay! The waterfall in the yard is beautiful along with the view of the river. I want to come back and stay in the 3 bedroom! Very unique place!!! Highly recommended ❤️❤️

We wanted a weekend stay somewhere we’ve never been, but within a 2-hour drive from NW Ohio. Marine City fit the bill and what a gem it was! Marine City itself is a quaint little town with its own restaurants and bars, all within walking distance. The bonus was its location relative to Port Huron and Algonac. We spent Saturday driving up to Lake Huron where we hit the Fort Gratiot lighthouse and took in some ship watching and a brew pub, and then drove back down along the river and stopped at a few great little restaurants and a brewery. The Airbnb was perfect. We did not know it’s history prior to our arrival - in fact, it didn’t really dawn on us until the first morning when we enjoyed the ship traffic while drinking our coffee out on the patio. Who thinks of turning a former ferry office into a vacation home? We loved it! Very clean, well decorated, and plenty of amenities. We’d definitely make the trip again! Highly recommend!

Overall we loved it and hope to return. If you're a boat nerd, this is your place. We did wish that the fountain ran longer, maybe noon to midnight.
