I agree with many of the positive reviews. Its a great price for being so close to the beach. However, It was the first AirBNB where we didn’t meet the host. He left the key in the door when we arrived, and messaged for us to leave the key in the door when leaving. I read a review where he was very personable and shared the history of the inn and the area. That would have been a treat. The tiny room made it difficult to move around. There was no place to hang clothes or put things. I had to place a towel over the AC because it was blowing directly on me. The bathroom ceiling had mold and the bathtub faucet was very lose. I understand this is a very old building, but we will probably not return here when we go to the OBX.

Taylor is a great host. You will get everything you need for a short stay. The location is convenient.

Another amazing stay at the Salvo Inn. Taylor and his family are so kind and helpful. We love the Inn and hope it stays in business forever! Such a gem and treasure in Salvo!

Quaint and quiet place with a short walk to the beach. Taylor was very responsive and attentive. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again!

The Historic Salvo Motel is located in a quiet street and the beach is in walking distance. Shops and restaurants are nearby (with car). We really enjoyed the rooms and the porch (and the common area). Taylor was really nice and very understanding and helpful when we had to rearrange our arrival.
