The view from the porch on this place is amazing!!! House was nice too. Only thing was that the front door knob does not work. Thank goodness that there are 2 other doors and we were able to get in that way.
View was spectacular as described from large deck. Nice-sized apartment that was comfortable. Not very well maintained , though. Some appliance and toilet issues. Property is beautiful, but rental company had old broken equipment for putting golf, tennis, and croquet - made experience disappointing. The view is what you pay for,
Make sure you check the rates on the days you schedule before booking since the large print advertised per night price is probably $300 less than what you are actually going to pay per night! Down bedding = 1 down pillow. The view is really fantastic, and the furnishing are nice. The golf cart drive to town is about 5 minutes so make sure the Club house and pool/spa/sauna/ are open if you want to stay close and think you will use the amenities. We were not told they were still closed due to Covid before we arrived. TV's in bedrooms did not work. Not a huge deal for us - although we tried to get them to but no dice. Ants may also be a problem in the master bath. They do have ant buttons you can move around. A rig-a-ma-row to get there and back to the Express boat home so if you can afford it, stay several days.
First off I want to say that this place is worth every penny! My group had a BLAST staying at the Hamilton Cove resort, especially in this specific spot. It’s located at the end of the resort and what seems to be the highest level. It came with its own golf cart which made everything so easy when exploring the island. The home itself was clean and we were even allowed to check in a little earlier than expected!! The view alone should be the selling point for this place but the exclusivity and the serene quietness is what makes this place a perfect spot for a much needed getaway. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone trying to relax and enjoy a nice vacation. Nothing but smiles in Catalina Island.
