This is a gorgeous, quiet, secluded, and peaceful setting right on East Pond. The views are spectacular. Looking out the window (bedroom, kitchen table, screened in porch) the sun rises to the right and sets to the left; sunrises and sunsets are beautiful. The cabin is attractive with stained wood on the inside and windows all around that can be opened in various combinations as desired for air circulation. The grounds are clean and well-maintained. There is a small meadow next to the house, but mainly lots of trees around, which is great for privacy, noise dampening, and birds. I was lulled to sleep by an ensemble of crickets, frogs, the gentle call of the loons, and an occasional owl. Nice private dock. Ann and Edmund were welcoming, available, and responsive hosts. They have a beautiful house that is on the same property, but almost out of sight. Wi-Fi signal was strong, which I needed for remote work. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

This is a beautiful location right next to the lake. The cabin is very well-equipped, clean and modern, yet still offering a traditional "camp-like" feel.

We couldn’t have been more pleased with our rental on East Pond! Ann met us when we checked in and was very accommodating in every way. She was helpful with information about the area and was responsive to our questions before and after our arrival. The cottage was very clean and located right on the lake with excellent views of the water from every room. The cottage had everything to make our stay comfortable with quality amenities - soft sheets, comfortable mattress, fluffy towels, well stocked kitchen, assorted spices, two mini fridges, nice hand soaps/shampoo, and reverse osmosis drinking water. The lake was very clean, and great for swimming and canoeing/kayaking. There wasn’t much boat traffic on the lake so it was peaceful to sit on the dock or in the chairs provided by the water. While canoeing we saw bald eagles and a pair of loons diving and feeding their chick. We enjoyed a lobster dinner at the Village Inn and Tavern In Belgrade Lakes located about 15 minutes from the cottage. We had a wonderful stay and have already recommended this rental to friends. Thanks to Ann and her family for sharing this special place!

My husband and I were looking for a quiet escape from the city, somewhere private to recuperate and enjoy nature; Ann's place was absolutely perfect. It's a small but beautiful lakeside cabin, set back from the main house. You're separated by a field with apple trees and tucked into the foliage, which makes it feel private. We encountered beavers, loons, bald eagles, and more on a daily basis, which was so great. The cabin has everything you may need for your stay, from pots and pans to toiletries. (And Ann was able to provide other odds and ends like a cooler and even an additional wine glass after an unfortunate accident!) The weather was on the cooler side during our stay, so we kept the wood-burning stove going for a majority of the mornings and evenings. And Ann provided enough blankets, as well. Ann and her husband were on the property during our stay, and totally respected our privacy (as we did theirs). But it was really nice chatting with them a few times to get the lay of the land, as well as enjoy nice conversation. My husband and I loved everything about our stay, from the home to the location, and hope to be back soon! It's a gem. Thanks for everything!

Ann’s cabin is one of the best, most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed at. The view of East Pond from inside and outside is simply breathtaking, The cabin is laid out in such a way that even when inside, if the windows are open you can feel the breeze, hear the loons, and the sound of the water lapping against the shore - a perfect setting for reading and relaxation. While other reviewers mentioned the refrigerator being small, we found it to be just right for our week-long stay. We used a cooler for our beverages and the fridge for food and condiments. The cabin had every amenity we were looking for plus very comfortable bed and living space. We loved it so much we plan to make it our annual vacation spot.
