What a beautiful stay, lake, cottage and the most responsive and caring host. THIS REALLY IS 5 STAR!! From the perfect condition of the cottage itself to0 many to mention thoughtful touches such as motion night lights inside and out, nothing has been overlooked. Open the door and you are surrounded by a cozy professionally designed space with every modern entertainment need met. Lay your head at the end of the day on spotless sheets and on a perfect mattress. Oh...lets not forget the amazing lake view . What a lovely natural lake! We (a family of four, with children 7 and 9 years, plus grandparents) had a wonderful 5 night stay at Highlands East. The cottage was as advertised, clean, with a very well equipped kitchen and excellent wifi. The beds were comfy and there were ample sitting areas inside and out. As the lake was calm and quiet, we spent a lot of time on the water, so we appreciated the paddle boards, canoe and kayaks. The kids enjoyed the trampoline, lawn games and swim raft. There were lots of board games, cards and puzzles. We hiked to the dam as outlined in the host’s handbook, plus along many of the cottage roads. Joe was very quick to respond to any inquiry that we had and provided lots of reminders leading up to our visit and while we were there. A beautiful part of our province!

Booked this cottage for 6 nights with my husband and 3 children. It was spotless! I’ve never seen such a clean Airbnb. Had everything you could think of for the kitchen as well as a variety of charging cables in each room. Sheets were clean and beds were comfy. Had a ton of stuff to do from water sports to a wide variety of puzzles and games. My kids loved swimming, fishing off the dock, jumping on the trampoline, going in the hot tub and learning new board games. The umbrella on the dock was perfect for keeping the baby in the shade. We had a pretty bad storm one day and lost power for a bit, Joe was very attentive making sure we were ok and giving us updates on when the power was expected to come back on. This cottage definitely seemed more like a home than an Airbnb. My kids are already asking when we can go back!

My husband, son and I stayed 5 nights at Joe’s cottage and we really enjoyed our time there. The first thing I noticed was how CLEAN the cottage was. I always bring my own bedsheets but I didn’t feel the need to use mine because I could smell the bedsheets there were clean. The entire cottage was clean! Also my son LOVED the trampoline and I think this was a great touch to the cottage. He used it daily - the location was beautiful. The cottage has everything you need and Joe left a little flash light for my son which he used every night and loved. The cottage was just prefect for our little family. We were very comfortable and really enjoyed our time there. We didn’t get the best weather (only one sunny day) and one day of rain - all day long so the Netflix and internet connection really helped us out! We got to watch family movies together! Joe was very kind and communication was on point! Definitely recommend for families

We booked Joe's place for a nice summer getaway and were not disappointed! The cottage itself was well stocked, cozy, and had everything you needed including lots of activities for those rainy days, and quiet nights. The location was beautiful, right on the lake with large trees on either side of the property to provide a bit of privacy. Joe also provides lots of outdoor activities and equipment, making it the ideal place for a family like ours with small children. I would recommend Joe's place to anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life in a comfortable, modern space. In addition to this, Joe was easy to communicate with, and very attentive. We're hoping to be back soon! Thanks Joe!
