Nice downstairs unit with plenty of space. The host, Irene, is very friendly and makes you feel welcome. Much better than staying in a more expensive hotel room. You get a functional kitchen and a large refrigerator, and kitchen table. Bed is comfortable. Very convenient to walk from car (parking on back driveway) to unit. Quiet neighborhood and I never even heard any noise from the upper unit. Location not only close to downtown, but easy to jump on Minnesota Dr. heading south. There are some improvements that could be made which I told Irene about. This is a typical basement unit, old school with lots of interesting decor. It was clean. I would stay here again.

Irene was a wonderful host and we really felt like we were her guests. The place is convenient to the trails, downtown, and felt safe to walk and in a quiet residential area. Amenities were available even internet/TV and washer dryer! Reasonable price as compared to the very expensive hotels downtown. Recommend absolutely!!!

Irene was absolutely lovely and considerate. The apartment was a perfect base in Anchorage and had all the facilities we required. Would highly recommend staying at this air bnb.

I departed this unit within 24 hours because it was extremely dirty and had not been cleaned, despite what the host said. I immediately communicated this to the host and made multiple attempts to contact her. Her response finally arrived 20 hours later and at that point I had secured another place and checked out. Airbnb was very efficient and attentive helping me with this problem and the transition.

This was a great base of operations for a trip centered on Anchorage. I rented the place with my partner for a week we planned to spend traveling up to Denali and then down to Seward, and it turned out to be a very good choice when the Seward leg of the trip fell through. The apartment was clean and well furnished, and the basement location actually helped us southerners cope with the 11pm sunset. The location is terrific — workable walking distance to downtown, where we got the bus to Denali and found restaurants and local attractions, and just a few blocks north of trailheads for the city's network of green-belt bike/pedestrian trails. There's also a small neighborhood grocery just a few blocks east. All in all, much better than a hotel both in terms of space and furnishings, and in value.
