I needed a room within walking distance for a wake at the White Swan. Michael’s place was ideal, 10 minutes away. Comfortable bed, modern amenities, free parking, kettle, a safe, tv, hair dryer etc. It’s warm, the water tastes good, private. There’s also a separate room for guests with couch, TV, fridge, freezer, microwave, a small electric hob. Straight onto the main road out of town on the return journey which was ideal. Thanks again.

Nothing too much wrong with the accommodation itself (though the 'shared living space' was a bit like a dentists waiting room). However, the location is literally right next to the A52. Like, the address may as well be number 1, A52. It's at road level and is the last house on the slip road onto the main dual carriageway between Nottingham and Derby. This means that not only is it a nightmare to navigate to, it's super noisy. I rented the room on behalf of my elderly father who is having trouble sleeping so this wasn't ideal. What's more, he reported that there was some sort of drunken party happening on the first night, with revelers causing chaos until 2am. Additionally there were no instructions for check in anywhere. So when my father turned up at 4pm (check in was any time after 3) nobody was there. He had to try and talk to him through the Ring doorbell and wait 45 minutes to be let in. The positives - Michael himself was very amiable by all accounts and the room was ok.

Great for overnight stay for conference in Derby. En-suite bathroom and breakfast provided.

We only stayed for one night but we would definitely stay again if heading this way. Michael was very friendly and the accommodation was clean, modern and had everything we needed for our stay.
