The only reason I hesitated give Pine Shadows a 5 star review is that I don’t want people to know how amazing it is such that it becomes hard to book in the future!! If you are looking for a true ADK experience this is the place. You will stay in a cabin full of history that is ideally situated on the best piece of land on Tupper Lake. I probably spent over 50 hours looking for a place on Tupper Lake, and I can say with certainty, you cannot beat this location. It is private but has a great view of the lake. The view through the tall pines is incredible. We loved the screened porch, and spent so many hours there! The deep water dock and floating dock offered hours of fun fishing and swimming. My 10 year old caught a 4lb large mouth bass for the dock! There are rocks along the shoreline that are perfect for jumping and exploring. Peter (the host) is super responsive. We hope to return yearly and are so happy to have found our annual vacation spot!

We had a nice and peaceful stay for a week with our two dogs. The location is wonderful - very quiet and tucked among the pines, but easy (and pretty) drives to neighboring towns. The home is historic with lots of interesting pieces, as well as lots of reading material, games, etc. We loved the big screened in porch and the private dock to the water. It was pretty chilly while we were there - if we come back we'll definitely book in the summer so we can take advantage of more swimming and kayaking!

A fabulous hill top vintage cottage with a beautiful lake view and easy backyard path access to Tupper Lake. The screened in back porch was our favourite place to read and watch the sunset over the lake. The cabin feels cozy and traditional with lots of rooms and updated bathrooms for family and guests. We rented a small boat for fishing just down the highway at Red Top Inn and could dock the boat at the cottage dock for easy access. Peaceful lovely family spot!

The perfect Adirondack camp - exactly what we expected! The porch was incredible - it's where we spent all of our time. The lake was fantastic - we used the diving raft, the kayaks - it was wonderful!
