Exclusive, spacious detached cabin, set in forest and open green space. Stunning views over Kenmare Bay and onwards to the mountains on the Beara Peninsula. Five miles (8 km) from Kenmare towards Sneem on the Ring of Kerry / Wild Atlantic Way, the world longest defined coastal tour. Ample things to do not far from the place, such as Golf, Fishing, Boating, Biking, Horse riding, Swimming (indoors too) and of course Walking. The Cabin houses 6 visitors easily. You will enjoy an open plan spacious and very comfortable Living with a large closed (strictly timber-only) fireplace feeding the air-heating for all areas. The Dining area has an extendable table for 6+ chairs and a well equipped Kitchen. The Cabin offers oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, sink, dishwasher, coffeemaker, toaster and washing machine. Two bedrooms of which the Master Bedroom with a Queen-size Lits-Jumeaux (2x 90x210) pleasantly sleeping 2 adults and the Second Bedroom with 2 large bunkbeds (4x 90x200) comfortably sleeping 4 adults (or children of course). A toddler's cot/camping bed as also a high chair and baby-bath are available on prior request. The cabin has a bathroom with a basin, toilet and shower. The not-excessive personal use of WiFi, Water, Gas, Electricity, Timber, Linen and Parking is free, also for your boat trailer or similar.

Amazing view and really nice cabin!
Hanny was very welcoming and we really enjoyed staying in her accommodation which had everything we could have needed. The wood fire was especially cosy and so very effective in warming the whole cabin during the rainy days we stayed with her. Thank you for a home from home experience !
The property is set at the top of a hill with wonderful views of the bay. Very easy location to get to. The cabin is well furnished.
A great stay here. Have to say the cabin doesn't look great from the outside but appearances can be deceptive. It was lovely inside and perfectly adequate for our needs. There was milk, tea, coffee and fruit there too when we arrived. The kitchen had everything you could need for cooking if you wanted. Plenty of towels, toilet paper, kitchen paper etc. Toiletries in the bathroom too should you need them. Bed linen was spotless like everything else there. It's lovely and bright inside with fantastic views. It’s located a few kms outside Kenmare. You need to keep your eyes peeled or you'll miss the turn! We really enjoyed our stay here and would happily return.

For the active visitor there is Golf:
Ring of Kerry PGA course within a mile, beautiful Parknasilla parkland course (including crazy golf for the kids) within 10 miles and the Kenmare Parkland within 6. Not far away courses in Killarney, Waterville and Ballybunnion.
For the Water-sporters:
Across the Bay (10 miles) a watersports centre offers a variety of the wet stuff, including a Bay Safari, of which there's one in Kenmare (5 miles) as well. Interesting and different types of strands and beaches from short distance up to 50 miles offer seclusive or pleasantly open space.
Horse-riding stables are close; Dromquinna as also Blackwater Stables at 3 miles.
Walkers are welcome on-site but across the road there's Dromore Woods (and Castle) whereas the Kerry Way offers loads of challenges.
There's hardly a better place for dining and pubbing than Kenmare whereas for self-caterers any type of shopping is available; from Aldi and Lidl in Kenmare to great bakers and butchers and local grocerers and markets, all in Kenmare as well as in Sneem.

The location of the Cabin is best reached by private car. There is some public transport but in general in rural Ireland the frequencies of same are low.
You can hire taxi services (including small and large buses) in Kenmare where you can also rent a bike.
Horse-riding and walking will also get you around.
