My husband and I really enjoyed staying at Bettie’s chalet. It was very unique, the bed was extremely comfortable and the chalet had everything we needed. Bettie was very responsive as a host. Would definitely like to stay again!

We were blown away by the charm, history and craftsmanship of Bettie’s Chalet. The location was perfect for an early spring weekend of hiking at Mt. Mitchell and Linville Gorge. The kitchen was well stocked with olive oil and spices for home cooked meals. We especially enjoyed using the fireplace in the evening and waking up to the sunrise in the lofted bedroom. Can’t wait to return!

Very cozy and peaceful up on the mountain. Me and a friend stayed here and loved it. Would definitely revisit. Everything was stocked and clean. Not far from a walmart and places to eat. Plenty of hikes and lookouts nearby. Bettie was very kind and gave clear instructions.

My wife and I had a much needed overnight getaway. We loved the coziness and peacefulness the chalet provided. Area is gorgeous and isn’t far from local restaurant’s. We stayed in the winter so things directly in Little Switzerland were closed (Betty reached out before our stay to make sure we were aware). We were totally fine with it as we were looking for a cozy, quiet place to reconnect.
