The amenities of the house were very good. The nature viewing opportunities, the fully stocked beach equipment, the bikes, the close proximity to Nerita St Beach, the sun room and outside decks. The photos online were generally accurate. It is an older property that needs some attention to detail (cleaning), but in general a very serviceable and nice place to use as a command center for exploring Sanibel, the surrounding areas and the beaches. Take the Manatee Cruise on a cold day. The manatees are much more active when the air temp is around 40 degrees. Be sure to take a day trip to Corkscrew Swamp east of Naples.

What a beautiful house and location! We had a perfect holiday on Sanibel, discovering the beaches and eateries by bike. Amy's house is perfect for a large family or, like us, a couple of families. I think you could happily fit 2 families of 4 and an extra couple of adults, with room left over for everyone to get their own space. The kitchen is well appointed, with good cookware, a blender, microwave etc. Water pressure in the bathrooms is good, with an outside shower to rinse the sand off the kids and stop them running it into the house. We especially liked the 2 balconies, which provided peaceful nooks for an evening glass of wine. Sanibel is small so everywhere is close by but the beach really was just 3 mins away, meaning we could run back for lunch or forgotten sunglasses. Finally, Amy and Mike were speedy to respond to questions and gracious hosts. I hope to come back one day :)

This house was very clean, with comfortable furniture, including the beds, and there was always plenty of hot water for the 4 of us. The house has nice touches such as art and rugs. The kitchen had adequate pots and pans for cooking and lots of plates, glasses and silverware. It had a nice set of sharp knives. We made lots of meals in the kitchen. It is a very roomy house, with the upstairs being its own apartment almost with a living space, sink area and coffee pot and small fridge. There are decks on the first and second floors. The property is pleasantly secluded from neighbors by lots of trees, and the neighborhood is very quiet. It has covered parking. It is a short easy walk to the beach, with crossing one street that is not very busy. The beach is beautiful. There are bikes and beach equipment. Check in/out and communication were all very easy. We would love to stay here again!
