I was visiting for work so didn’t have much chance to explore the local area however, the location is great, very peaceful with great views. You will need your own transport as it is out of the way but I don’t see this being an issue for most people as it’s the sort of area you would drive to anyway. Would stay again, fantastic host who helped me out when I couldn’t find which driveway to take ( it’s right up the hill after you turn in) a lovely bottle of wine and homemade cake went down a treat

Juniper Barn was an amazing find. Felt like home from the minute we walked through the door. Only sorry we were not able to stay for a few days more.

Very much as described, quiet & peaceful place. was perfect for heading to the northern fells within the lake district. Fully recommend

We've stayed at Juniper Barn twice now, it's such a cosy, comfortable space, stocked with everything you could need and within easy reach (driving) of some gorgeous Lake District spots. The wine and cake left for us on arrival was such a generous touch - considering a third stay soon!
