This apartment has many characteristics of older homes (it’s creaky, the ceilings and doorways are lower, the steps are smaller, the doors don’t align perfectly, etc.). But’s also a chance to stay on a famous street is a walkable neighborhood with many restaurants, bars, and historic attractions. We made this reservation at the last minute and appreciate Patrick’s flexibility with our stay.

This is such a special location! Looked exactly as picture ... wonderfully renovated and over 100 years old! There is no other place that would compare in Philly! Beds were comfortable and full kitchen available. Host was flexible with check in/out. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay here! How cool is it we got to stay on one of the oldest continuously inhabited residential streets in the US. Step by step instructions to get in. About 30 total narrow steps to get up to the property but that was listed in the description so we brought duffel bags which made it easier. The inside looked just like the photos & had a really neat feel to it. We loved the super deep couch to hang out on at the end of the day. Watch for the step down from the kitchen space in to the living room area. The ceiling is a little low. My son is 6 ft & hit his head at least 3 times. As he said he is not “colonial size”. The downstairs neighbors have a loud dog that likes to bark so if you are a light sleeper bring earplugs. The guide book with suggestions was helpful & we tried a number of them while we were there. Most of the places we wanted to visit were easy walking distance. Loved the sister’s art for sale & bought a piece as a souvenir. We will be back again for sure!
