This is a beautiful homestay with a friendly family, a beautiful room and a rooftop balcony. Just a short walk away from swayambhu - the monkey temple. I had a wonderful time in Kathmandu, thank you 🙏🏽♥️ Much love, Renée

Palsang and his wife are kind people and as guide, Palsang has a lot of good advices and recommendations. Their dog is really cute pet. For first time was a bit confusing searching of house, fortunately Kathmandu is full of helpful people. Here is hint how to reach house: easiest way is from Siddicharan Marg. Go straigth from main Ring Road street to Swayambu stupa direction until you meet small creek, Dora Canal in Google maps. There is narrow sloughy path right, turn on. Then turn the second path right, you will see small shop and lots of children around. The gate next to shop is your destination. Just ask in neigborhood for Palsang, ladies around shop will know. The highlight of this accomodation is the roof with mountain view. Everything is near from this place - buses to all part of city just 2 minutes walk, Swayambu stupas 10-15 minutes, Thamel and city centre less than 30 minutes, main bus station Ratna Park is reachable by walk too (40 minutes), but better is to take bus from Ring Road. There is great small restauration/bistro on Siddicharan Marg (Hangout Cofe & Restro) with very good food, and many others restaurants, street food, small shops... Larger supermarket is less than 10 minutes walk on Ring Road. There is an opportunity to eat with family, but we ate outside. Only one disadvantage is special fee for using kitchen. If it was included in price (even it was higher), it should be better, but fortunately in Kathmandu is so many options where to get great food, you don't really need a kitchen (except special diets). It was nice time in Kathmandu. Thank you again!

Palsang is very friendly and reactive to any questions you might have before or during the stay. The house is typical and the rooms are individual with private bathroom. His wife Maya cooks very well and you can share the dinner with them in the Nepalese way. The distance to Thamel is 20 min walk. Very good place to stay and generous people.
