Great Airbnb!! I stayed there for three months and Nels is just the best host! He is very nice and always helpful and Tay-Tay is a very cute dog. The room and bathroom were very clean, and in my opinion the best you can get for the price in the bay area. Felt very safe in this location and also had a lot of privacy. There are several public transport options (MacArthur BART, various bus stops) in walking distance, and the BART to SF needs less than 20 min. I can highly recommend staying in this Airbnb!

Excellent place! Huge, comfortable room that’s essentially your own spot since it has its own bathroom and a ton of privacy. Close to BART so very convenient as well. Nels was super nice and accommodating as well

Nels clearly deserves Superhost status. His home is neat and beautifully furnished. The large room is directly off the front hall, no wandering around to get there. It's bright and private with a stylish compact bathroom. A screen visually seals off the bedroom and bath from the spacious front hall where you leave your shoes. Getting out of bed was always a challenge because it's SO comfortable I wanted to stay there all day. And flannel sheets make it all the more cozy. A fridge, microwave, kettle and dishes/cutlery are provided so eating in your room is easy if you choose. Nice snack collection too. A spectacular back garden makes it hard to believe you are in downtown Oakland, just a 15 minute walk to the MacArthur BART station. Best of all is the friendly and accommodating host, be sure to set aside some chat time. The sweet dog can occasionally woof at unexpected times but she's generally a quiet old gal, wary at first but she warms up after a short while.

Neucimar is the nicest and most generous host I have ever met. He is kind, helpful and a great conversationalist. He is also a fantastic cook and outstanding baker. The description and pictures of the room are very accurate. The room is spacious with its own desk/work area, a small refrigerator and a microwave. The room also had an electric water boiler which was perfect for making tea and coffee (he even provided some tea!) in the morning. There’s also a full kitchen in the house for cooking more elaborate meals. Laundry is also available in the basement. Also, having a private bathroom make for this place a jewel in Oakland where most airbnbs come with shared bathrooms!. This place is perfect for people working/visiting Berkeley, Oakland and even San Francisco. The Bart station is 2 blocks away and the F (to Berkeley and SFO) and 88 (to Berkeley) bus stops are just 3 blocks away. There are also plenty of restaurants near the Bart station. I hope to come back!
