Absolutely loved the locations and place! Incredible views and secluded! Was a perfect home while we were there to go to red mountain to ski/snowboard.

Unlike most guests here, we do not fish! Every year, we rent a cabin somewhere for a week, for our family to relax and spend time together. Our two daughters, one son-in-law, 6 of our grands, and a girlfriend (age 14-21) joined us at Black Bear. My daughter and son-in-law brought their camper trailer to sleep in, and there was plenty of space for that and the 4 cars we brought. The lodge is gorgeous, with a chef’s kitchen, beds for 11, (we used 10), all comfortable. Having 4 bathrooms was great! We spent the week reading, going on walks, playing board games, sitting in the sun, watching the Perseus meteor shower, swimming, adults visited the China Bend Winery. (We had hoped to go to Canada for a day, but a couple of the kids had expired passports.) The beach is rocky, so be sure to take water shoes. The river has a stiff current not far from shore. All our kids are strong swimmers, but held the rope and wore a life jacket for excursions into the current. They had a blast.

Fantastic fishing lodge with stunning views on the Columbia only two hours from Spokane — would love to come back.
