The host has thought of almost everything you could want during a vacation stay, including extensive information and guidance about the cottage, area, and nearby attractions, as well as items within the house for entertainment, utility, etc. There are limited things to do within walking distance, but Pugwash is a short drive away with some restaurants and a lovely little Saturday market. The cottage location is on a quiet lane; the next-door grey cottage wasn't rented while we were there, and there are trees to give privacy from other neighbours, so it was very cozy. The beach front is a beautiful view, especially in the evenings around the fire, but is perhaps not the best beach to actually go down to - at high tide, it's quite grassy, and at low tide it's very mucky. However, a nice public beach is only a short drive away. Overall, a lovely stay.

Our stay at Blue Cottage was lovely. It's a beautiful property stocked with loads of thoughtful amenities, from rubber boots in various sizes for exploring the tidal flats to a kitchen stocked with all the pots, dishes & implements you could hope for. Our girls were delighted to have a private "clubhouse" in the bunkie. There were only a couple of minor inconveniences, which were all the more perplexing given how well the rest of the cottage was supplied & managed. One was that we had to bring our own toilet paper. The second was the garbage management. We were told there would be a $50 fee to handle our garbage at the end of the week but we could save $40 if we made a dump run the day before our departure. The problem is that the local dump doesn't accept household garbage & wouldn't take our bags. I'd much rather have had the garbage fee included in the cost of the rental and have it all taken care of. Overall, however, we enjoyed our time here and recommend it.

Lovely cottage on a quiet lane. The river view is relaxing and access to the water is just steps away. There were many board games and outdoor activities provided. Great for family fun. Rebekah is very informative, attentive and helpful. We will be back!
