Our beautiful studio in Ithaca is close to the center of Kioni (3-4 mins walk to its' beautiful port), only steps away from the bayside and is bright and spacious with everything you'll need for your Ithacan holiday. Your studio is walking distance to restaurants, cafe, bars, mini markets etc./ From its terrace you can enjoy amazing views of the Ionian sea, with its beautiful pristine sea and beaches.The terrace is SHARED with the studio next door, but each studio is independent.

We had a great stay. The apartment is surprisingly spacious for a studio. Lots of storage. Beautiful views from the terrace. Garage parking under the property was an unexpected bonus and we left the car there for our entire stay. Everything walkable - harbour and restaurants in one direction, lovely local beaches in the other. The welcome from the hosts team was excellent, helpful and friendly - thanks Alma and Panos!

Ithaca is a beautiful island and Kioni is a charming place to stay. Dimitris’ studio was perfectly placed to be easily walkable to the village to eat and shop and to our favourite beaches in the opposite direction- about 7/8 minutes either way. The studio is spacious and has everything you need. It was very clean with good towels and bedding. Alma met us at the village car park and helped us navigate the way through the village to our studio and was very helpful. Panos who assists Dimitris was responsive and helpful. The sitting area gives you a view of Kioni bay and the islands to the east of Ithaca- a lovely breakfast spot. We made use of the village shop and the coffee machine. The Kioni restaurants were fine. The local beaches are gorgeous. Pebbly so beach shoes advised- but no sand means the water is crystal clear. We had a car and enjoyed several excellent meals elsewhere on the island. We would return very happily for another stay.

Loved our time in Kioni and the apartment is the perfect base , half way between the port and the beach. Would totally recommend staying here and would love to return. Dimitris and his team couldn’t be friendlier or more helpful. We had a wonderful few days. Many thanks

We had a great stay in Dimitris’s place. The apartment had everything that we needed and the location was perfect. Two great swimming spots in walking distance!! Dimitri was super communicative and organised a taxi to pick us up from the port as well as provided us with other tips and recommendations on the island.

The picturesque traditional settlement of Kioni lies in the southeast of Ithaca, 24 km from Vathy, in a verdant setting with unique attractions.
There are 3 beaches nearby, the first one is only 3 mins walk away (Sarakinari) and the other two withing 5-10 mins walk away (Plakoutses and Filiatro).
The pharmacy is in Stavros, about 7 km from home

GETTING TO ITHACA
Getting to Ithaca is not very easy, but this is part of the magic of the place and the fact that there are not huge crowds but instead very few globetrotters reach this place, who search for unique places!
AIRPORTS
KEFALONIA AIRPORT
There is NO airport in Ithaca. The closest airport is in KEFALONIA island. The airport of Kefalonia gets daily flights from Athens and in summer it also receives many charter and low-cost flights from abroad. From the port of Sami in Kefalonia, there are daily ferries to Ithaca (Pisaetos port).

PREVEZA AIRPORT
The other option is to land in PREVEZA Airport (Aktio). From here you could either get the ferry from Vasiliki in Lefkas to Frikes or from Astakos port to Kefalonia and from there to Pisaetos port in Ithaca

PATRA AIRPORT
Final option would be the Airport close to PATRA, and the catch the ferry from Killini to Kefalonia.

FERRIES
CHECK IN
Either the owners (Ms Athina and/or Mr Dimitris) or their local caretaker (Ms Alma) will check you in the house, give you your keys and answer any questions you might have. Please note that the caretaker has limited knowledge of English so we will be in touch with you to help you in the case you need something.
DRIVING YOURSELVES
Vathy is located approx 25km from Kioni. You will follow the signs to Kioni/Frikes. Once you reach Kioni, you will head towards the port and once you are past the bar “Spavento”, you go straight. The house is approximately 180 meters from that point, after you pass "Argyris rooms to let" it is the 4th house to the right
PARKING
There is no parking available for the guests, but parking in the streets around the house is free. You can stop in the front of the house to drop your luggage and park in the municipality parking which is free. The municipality parking is located at the entrance of the village to your left.
CAR RENTAL ON THE ISLAND:
In Vathy there are at least 3 car rental and scooter agencies where you could get car, scooters or mopeds. Alpha (the 2nd one) has a satellite store in Kioni
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION:
there is a bus (one bus though) that does a few itineraries up and down from Vathy to Kioni, but it is not very frequent and unfortunately it does not coincide with the arrival of the ferries (normally)
TAXI:
In the case you are not going to rent a car the owners could arrange for a taxi driver that knows the house to pick you up from the port.
From Pisaetos or Vathy ports to the house it is a 25km distance or a 30 minutes drive and the trip should cost about 35 euros.
