The house is clean and bright. Bed was comfortable and shower good. The nice beach is in walking distance and we enjoyed the long boardwalk along the beach. In our opinion Altura itself has not a lot to offer or atmosphere, no attractions and is not pittoresk at all. We enjoyed the close by beautiful Tavira a lot and also Vila Real Santo Antonio..Especially Tavira has a lot to offer and very good restaurants. We drove up to Sagres and enjoyed the whole coast. Sevilla is only 1.5 hours away and well worth a visit. We spent 10 nights in Villa 67 and unfortunately we were not able to sleep in or using the garden or pool at all. Every day at 8am renovations and cleaning with heavy maschines started next door. On top of it the workers had their radio on full power. It seems April is the month when everybody gets ready for the season. Our host made an effort to talk to the workers to minimize the noice but it did not change much.

Geweldig huis! Schoon en verzorgd huis. Centraal gelegen. Restaurants, supermarkt en strand binnen handbereik. Echt één aanrader.

We loved Altura and Villa 67! It was a lovely time and hopefully we can come back when the sun is in full effect (it was a bit too cold to enjoy the pool). The Villa suited us well with three kids (pre-teen, toddler and infant) and we felt at home. The Aldi and Pingo Doce are very convenient too! I do recommend having a car to visit nearby towns, parking at the house is a breeze.

The house is like a home from home The kitchen is very well stocked with lots of pots and pans , air fryer , teapots , placemats etc The beds are comfortable and there is a good supply of bath towels Beach towels would be a nice addition Well located with a couple of supermarkets within walking distance Proximity to the beach also a plus Taxi drivers had difficulty finding the house even with maps reference .. something to be mindful of

We felt at home in the villa right from the start and I had a hard time leaving today after a five weeks amazing stay. Great place to work from, for couples and families. The house is nicely equipped, super clean and Carlos, the host, and Ana, the housekeeper, are welcoming, kind, and always at your service! Some nice restaurants were open even in low season and it‘s a great place to discover the eastern Algarve from. The neighboring towns Manta Rota, Monte Gordo and Vila Real have even more to offer in terms of culinary diversity. Would recommend a car for that reason. The beaches are extraordinary beautiful went for quiet long walks every day. Couldn’t use the pool at this time of the year (November) but it was still nice to look at. Would I have a magic wand, I would have heated the pool for us, but I totally get why this doesn’t make sense for the host (would also be terrible in terms of ecological footprint…). Great bonus: the place is dog-friendly. Would stay here again any time!
