This property is 5 minutes’ walk to the beach. The luxurious holiday village offers 4 outdoor pools and direct access to the beach. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The flat has a sea-view balcony, free WIFI and the owner keeps everything in top order! There are tennis courts, a playground, a beautiful park and restaurants nearby. Parking is free. The cute small town of Alvor is 2,5 km away and the bustling town of Portimao is 4 km away. The apartment is in a beautifully situated holiday village and there is no through traffic.

We have often stayed in Prainha Village, but this was our first time in Greta's apartment and she was a pleasure to deal with. We would be happy to recommend Greta and her apartment.
We love everything! The service, the apartment, the view, the beach, the pools. Quit village with services and good maintenance. Excellent green spaces. Accessibility to the beautiful beach “prainha” with elevator. Nice pools and the wonderful salt pool. The apartment is spacious, well equipped and well maintained. The balcony has a great sea view and a lovely sunset. We will be back!!!

Prainha holiday village is very popular but still considered a bit of an insider tip, known mostly by Portuguese people. It was built in Portuguese style with smaller white houses and villas and is soothing for the eye in contrast to some of the sky-scrapers further down the coast. It is heavenly peaceful but you have the towns of Alvor and Portimao nearby for shopping, cultural events, restaurants and fun bars.
There are buses going into Portimao and Alvor every half hour.

I have been living in Portugal for five years and I love Alvor. The beach is beautiful and it feels like I am living in paradise. In the summer I rent out my apartment and go on long bike tours. This is my passion. Twice I even cycled from Portugal to Germany:)
