What can we say other than The Grooms Cottage is absolute perfection! It is a little piece of paradise nestled in the most beautiful surroundings. It was our second stay at The Grooms Cottage and once again we had the most relaxing break in this most comfortable accommodation. The host Di was excellent and responsive throughout. We would not hesitate to book again and to recommend The Grooms Cottage to anyone looking for accommodation with easy access to both the Lakes and the Coast. Thank you Di for letting us stay, we hope to be back in the future.

I stayed at Dianne's place for over a week and worked remotely during the stay. I totally enjoyed my time in Arkleby! Dianne is a communicative and generous host. I was always warm and comfortable, thanks to well working heating but also to a generous supply of firewood for the stove. The bed was comfortable and I loved spending afternoons in a spacious living space upstairs. The cottage is only 20mins drive from Keswick which is quite convenient and makes is a good base to explore the Lakes, especially the northern part. Another important thing to mention is internet access. The BT broadband was fast enough for me to work remotely without interruptions. I was a little bit disappointed by bathroom, which I though needed a remake due to damp issues.
