Claire is a welcoming host, the communication before and after booking was excellent. She goes the extra mile to ensure your stay is perfect. This is the perfect place to base yourself to explore the island. There is easy parking, and a car or other means of transport is essential as there's no public transport. The house is easy to reach from the port (the car hire Claire arranged met us there) and to get to all points of interest on Kythira. It's a short walk to Potamus which has some interesting shops, one almost unchanged since opening in 1945, a supermarket, bars and traditional cafes rub along side by side. The excellent taverna, Panaretos is not to be missed. Always ask what the special is it will be good. Finally, Chloe. We adopted this beautiful cat for the duration of our stay. Apologies in advance if she now thinks that all people must love her as much as we did. I have no hesitation to recommend staying at The Stone House and will definitely return.

A lovely little place to stay - well appointed and private; everything was as described. Claire was really helpful with good communication, useful local tips and always happy to help.

Had a lovely stay in the stone house, it was tastefully decorated without being cluttered, cosy and comfortable. Walking distant to supermarket, restaurants and the village of Potamos. Kitchen had everything needed to cook and serve. Would definitely recommend 100%

A lovely place offered by a lovely hostess! I was in town for a wedding and just needed somewhere to retreat, relax, and enjoy the island. Claire went above and beyond with local recommendations, homey touches, prompt help when I was lost, I could go on. If you're looking for a party place, this ain't it, but if you want to kick your feet up and enjoy the simple beauty of the town and the beaches and the night sky check it out.
