We were in Canada for a wedding and decided to stay at Lea’s and Jack’s. It was the perfect place. Great location, close to Port Hope and easy to get to from Toronto. The accommodation was clean and immaculately presented. Our host were helpful with all our requests and made our stay very enjoyable. I fully recommend.

Lea & Jack's home is beautiful, spacious, and very family friendly. Lea greeted us upon arrival and gave us a tour and showed us the many amenities inside. They also have a cozy outdoor seating area and gardens. The beds are extremely comfortable and it is dark and very quiet, for a wonderful sleep. Lea left us her homemade loaf, which was delicious! There is a large game room and lots of books to keep one busy. Although we did not use the kitchen facilities much, it is very functional and well-stocked. Lots of towels were provided. A lot of love was put into this home, and it shows! Highly recommend!

My family of four had a wonderful stay at Lea and Jack’s place. It is huge, with a fully stocked, large kitchen that has a peninsula and chairs, plus a separate dining area. The living room is very cozy and has an electric fireplace that adds warmth and ambiance. Beds were amazingly comfortable! We also enjoyed the large sauna twice during our stay. Best of all was the games room! The kids learned to play shuffleboard (or, their own version of it) and we had great family ping-pong tournaments. For a winter getaway, this was perfect! The suite is less than ten minutes to a super-cute town called Millbrook, where apparently a few TV shows and some movies have been filmed, due to the lovely historical homes and main street. We enjoyed breakfast overlooking the frozen Rice Lake, dotted with ice-fishing huts, in another small town called Bewdley—also very close by. Lea and Jack kindly offered to show us a good hiking trail in the area, that they themselves were going to, but by that time we were having too much fun in the games room so opted to stay put, then have a snowball fight in their huge outdoor area. Out last evening, we had a quiet dinner in Port Hope at the Carlyle Hotel restaurant. We also enjoyed burgers at Olympus Burger the next day, on our way home. Great weekend getaway, and we look forward to returning in the warmer months to see Lea and Jack’s garden (and, depending on the covid situation, sample breakfast at the bnb). Thanks for a great stay—it was exactly what we needed!

This is a lovely country retreat only 15 minutes from downtown Port Hope. With two bedrooms, It’s a great space for a family. The option of having a sauna was a wonderful treat. Access to the games room was another extra. Very well appointed and very clean. Hosts were welcoming and available for all enquiries.

The entire place was VERY thoughtfully put together. Lea gave us a good tour and made sure our experience was enriching. Most definitely a 10/10 and I would give extra 5 stars for the super cool game room.
