The location was good for access to Fowey and the surroundings nice. A lovely outdoor seated area. A nice walk to Readymoney beach. I was surprise that the twin bedroom was directly off the main bedroom which meant you had to walk through to access. This was not a good option for a family with teenagers or for 2 couples sharing. It may suit a family with younger children. Bedtimes were awkward and therefore I think it should be described in the information provided. We loved Fowey and there are some v nice restaurants. Would recommend Sam’s.

We all loved our stay at The Shippen and in Fowey itself. The cottage is surrounded by beautiful meadow and has a great little garden area which was well-maintained. Lovely decoration and good facilities throughout the cottage. We found this a great place to stay with our child and our dog. Excellent location for the beautiful town of Fowey and for Readymoney Cove, both reached on foot. The hosts were very helpful and sent great instructions through prior to arrival. Although the cottage appeared clean at first, the bath had unfortunately been missed (which, of course, may have been a one-off) and there were many cobwebs around that had been there for some time. Finally, this is the first cottage we've ever stayed at that hasn't provided any kind of welcome pack. For what we spent, we would have expected some kind of personal touch, even if only a note from the owners or a pint of milk! Overall, a great stay.

A lovely cottage with lots of thoughtful touches. It is also in a really quiet location and only a 15 minute walk into Fowey (20 minutes back as it is a steep up hill!). The cottage is well equipped and spotless. The wood burner is electric but the central heating is very effective so it’s easy to be cosy during a winter stay.

Lovely to wake up and let kids play in secure garden and very own little park. Hosts were lovely and so helpful. Loved the local beaches.

Excellent location with a beautiful walk via Readymoney Cove in to Fowey. The cottage has everything you could ask for...and more! The owners had fresh flowers, milk, tea/coffee and a welcome card. Our 18 month old daughter loved the communal swing and slide and spend many an early morning out on them! It is very tranquil yet close to everything. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
