The Shepherds Cabin was the perfect little get-away, set in beautiful peaceful surroundings with the added luxury of a wood fired hot tub. Candida and Michael were lovely hosts and ensured that we had everything we needed. The cabin was well equipped with all the essentials, lovely comfy bed and good quality linen. Plenty of towels and blankets. The breakfast basket with a loaf of fresh bread, eggs, delicious home made jam and apple juice, butter and milk was a gratefully enjoyed. Only disappointment was the shower which was really just a trickle, but found a jug under the sink which when filled with hot water from the Kitchenette tap did the job! Oh and Merlin the dog - very attentive and friendly.

Me and my partner went for 2 nights to get away from our busy jobs and to shut off from the world. The Shepard’s hut was perfect! It was so peaceful and private, it was very relaxing to hear the various birds. The area was perfect and so were the surroundings. There was nothing better than going on a long walk to then coming back to hot tub to relax. Me and my partner loved the welcome basket which was much appreciated. Would recommend walking into the village and stopping at the pubs and having a fish and chips which was recommended by Michael and it was something I throughly enjoyed doing.

We had such a lovely stay at the Shepherds Hut. The hosts were very friendly, communicated clearly, offered helpful suggestions for places to go nearby. The surroundings are glorious and perfectly located for some beautiful walks. The hot tub was such a treat after a day of walking. We slept really well too. Comfy bed! Will return.

We had such a lovely stay - a last minute booking for our birthdays that was totally worth it! The shepherd's hut is really beautifully decorated, with everything you need including homemade apple juice, fresh bread and eggs. The hot tub had been heated for our arrival which was a thoughtful touch. Michael was welcoming and gave great recommendations for walks, food and things to do. Location was stunning and we had regular visits from Merlin. Will definitely be back.

Lovely few days in this idyllic setting - we felt right at home, very comfortable (even at 32 weeks pregnant!), and loved all the homely touches.
