Stay in a original, adobe, historical cowboy bunkhouse Visit our historical ranch, built in 1896, and stay in the original adobe cowboy bunkhouse in the Sulphur Springs Valley in southeast Arizona. Enjoy our paintings and western artifacts that we hope will create an atmosphere of days of old. We are surrounded by the American West, mountain views in all directions and incredible sunsets. During the day enjoy the desert colors and views of the Chiricahua, Dos Cabasas, and Dragoon mountains. Relax and watch the birds and wild life that are abundant in the area, bobcats, coyotes, ringtail cats, deer, javelina, quail, rabbits, doves, hawks, owls, and our local roadrunner and his sometime female guest. In the winter you will see thousands of Sandhill Cranes that winter in the nearby Sulfur Springs Valley. In the evenings enjoy our spectacular sunsets and amazing stargazing with clear desert skies. Mi Ranchito is located in the heart of western history. A 50 Minute drive will take you to the Town of Tombstone “The Town too Tough to Die” with its famous Boot Hill Cemetery and loads of history or to Bisbee which was once a thriving silver and copper mining town and its famous “purple pit” which proved to be one of the richest mining sites in the world. There are several smaller ghost towns in the vicinity which were known for mining. It is worth a drive to visit Pearce where you will find the old Pearce jail and an antique and pottery shop run by a wonderful lady named Patty. Right around the corner is Marcia’s Garden Handcrafted Goat Milk Soaps and Lotions and a barnyard of fun goats that you can pet. Do stop by and enjoy some local color. Not much remains of the ghost towns of Gleason and Courtland but there is plenty of hiking and just reflecting on days gone by. A must to see is Cochise Stronghold Canyon, a short drive from the ranch through picturesque pistachio and almond orchards. This was the final refuge for Cochise, the great Chiricahua Apache Chief. This was home to Cochise and his people for many years. The Canyon offers a wide variety of plant life, wildlife and rugged cliffs with many springs and streams, plenty of bird watching, and hiking. Explore the unique ecology and geology of this historical area. Want to go horseback riding? Visit the Triangle T Ranch that has a wonderful restaurant and saloon with entertainment located 10 miles from Mi Ranchito. Enjoy riding in the incredible Texas Canyon with it’s breath taking rock formations and scenic views. Cowboy celebrities such as John Wayne, Will Rodgers and Steve McQueen once walked the grounds of the ranch. OR Bring your own horses to MI Ranchito. We have complete horse facilities which include 2 corrals an arena and fenced property. Or ride trails off property in all directions. There is so much to do besides just relaxing such as: Visit Fort Bowie National Historic Site and learn about the history of the Southwest –Kartchner Caves State Park, the largest wet cavern in the United States and just recently discovered. (highly recommended) –At least a dozen local wineries- The Amerind Foundation Museum – and the Gadson Hotel in Douglas (wonderful restaurant) - Faraway Ranch, one of the oldest ranches in southern Arizona, dates back to pre-Civil War. There is much more but, we will leave this up to your imagination and fortitude.
Charming guest house, gracious hosts, and oh, that desert stillness... a hush of such gravity that it settles into a person and permeates blood and bone.
“Mi Ranchito” was our first Airbnb and it couldn’t have been better. The hosts were very generous and made sure everything was set up for an ideal stay. It’s a great desert getaway and we enjoyed the small town of cochise as well. The perfect spot for hiking and exploring, especially if you want like to get lots of sun. Mountain views surround the ranch, as well as some adorable goats and horses. Our trip was very peaceful and a nice way to reconnect with the great outdoors. We will definitely be staying here again!
Mi Ranchito is an absolutely amazing experience. To start, the house is spacious, well decorated, cozy, and filled with great amenities. We especially loved the bedroom with the skylight, which kept acted as a natural alarm clock. It is located ~10 minutes from Cochise Stronghold and ~10 minutes to Sunsites, making it a great spot if you are looking to explore the Stronghold. The property is excellent. Of special note, the neighbor has a variety of farm animals (goats, horses, dogs) with which you can interact. The goats especially were a real treat to go visit and take on walks. We even extended our visit in hopes to see one of the goats give birth to kids, but we missed it by 2 days. This alone makes the stay unique and fun. My wife and I cannot speak highly enough of the neighbor and her animals! Barbara and Keith met us on the property and were friendly as could be. They gave us great tips on where to get food and local oddities to explore. They even left us some fresh baked muffins and fresh flowers. Excellent hosts! Mi Ranchioto is one of the best AirBnB's I've stayed at. It definitely deserves to have superhost status, and I'm sure it will soon.
Charming rustic house. Views of the beautiful mountains and great sunsets. Enjoyed staying around all the history of SE Arizona. With so much to do within the area we will be back.
The ranch is located in a valley surrounded by the Dragoon and Chirachua Mountains. Incredibly beautiful mountain views and sunsets. Property has complete horse facilities with trails going in all directions. Enjoy all that the Arizona
high desert offers at 4,500 feet. (Weather is just ideal).
Quit and peaceful setting with the nearest neighbor a 1/4 mile away. Nearest convenient shopping is about five miles away. There are two Dollar Stores which are pretty well stocked with everyday needs but, bring any special cooking items you like to use. Make sure you gas-up in Benson or Wilcox because the nearest gas station is about 18 miles.
Your will need your own car for all travel.

I recently moved from Squaw Valley, California to Tuscon and married a wonderful man from Cochise named Keith. We have a historical ranch which I felt would make a great AirBnB. When I was living in Squaw Valley I opened my home to AirBnB and was a host for almost for 3 years. Since then I met Keith, a true cowboy, and got married in July. What a change in lifestyle. From the mountains in Tahoe and skiing to a ranch in Arizona. In the past I was employed flight attendant for 15 years and then became a sales representative for 25 years allowing me to meet many new and interesting people. This is one of the reason I wanted to open a BnB, to continue meeting people from many different places, with different backgrounds and ideas and to hopefully make some very special friends. Keith and I are excited to open our ranch for people to vacation here and enjoy all the many, many activities and beauty that abounds.. Cochise has to offer. I'm certain that the fun-loving, generous, gregarious people that we are will allow our guests to feel right at home and have a very pleasant experience vacationing at our ranch.
