Calm, peaceful place close to Lassen National Park and Mount Shasta

Our stay at this cottage was very nice. The host was attentive, ensuring our basic needs were met, and there was plenty of firewood available for the wood-burning stove and firepit, which was a nice touch. The surrounding area was peaceful and serene, while the cottage itself was tucked away under tall fir trees. The location was convenient, with two gas stations and two markets nearby, making it easy to access essentials and explore Lassen. The cottage itself had a cozy atmosphere, which added to the overall experience. The kitchen was decently stocked and plenty of warm blankets and pillows. It's a good option for those looking for basic accommodations.

Highly recommend staying here if you plan on visiting the surrounding area. Only a short drive away from Mt. Lassen Volcanic Nat'l park. The host is incredibly friendly and will make you feel super welcome. The rental is very cozy and has a conventional fireplace with plenty of firewood provided. Everything was clean and in good condition. This is a perfect place for a relaxing getaway!

We loved our stay at Living Springs. We rented cottage #2 right after Christmas. It was quiet and just what we were looking for. The other 2 cottages were rented as well, but we barely noticed. The cabin was cozy and comfortable and the wood stove is exactly what we wanted. The hosts had it blazing warm in there upon our arrival which was appreciated. The clawfoot tub was a nice surprise and was well utilized for relaxing a bit. It was rainy, but we walked to find the pond and the creek which was a nice reason to get out for some fresh air. The property does have quite a bit of "junk" to simply state, as commented on previous reviews, however it didn't bother our stay much. The hosts were extremely responsive and flexible with allowing pets and early check in/late checkout with a moderate to high fee. Overall we had a wonderful getaway and I think our stay at Living Springs met, if not exceeded, our expectations.
