This was difficult to write a review like this, but for the cost of the this home and the poor condition of the interior and the exterior, an extremely steep driveway with busted up concrete and having to remove your own garbage, the value is not there. the screened in porch was cluttered with old furniture, stains all over the entry door: which I used bleach to to clean. Weather stripping is ripped and torn, stains all over the carpets, the interior had a mothball type odor. The white Adirondack chairs on the deck had mildew and black dirt all over the seats. Its not how I wanted to spend the remainder of my holidays in a very old worn, dated, cluttered home. No exterior lighting on the very steep driveway. No exterior lighting on the house. not all of the solar lights along the walkway worked, the bottom step of the deck is so high off the ground my dog hurt her paw stepping off. The stay was disappointing.

We stayed at Ann’s place during the late fall for work. Everything was clean and as described in the listing. The beds were comfy. There were plenty of extra towels, sheets, pillows, & blankets and everything was good quality, not an after though. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. All of that really makes for an enjoyable and comfortable stay. Although we weren’t able to take advantage of the outdoor amenities, they would add so much to an already great experience for other guests. Large screened in porch with a large deck both with lots of seating seating options. The property is right on water and the views were incredible. Would absolutely stay again!

We had such a great time here. So beautiful and perfect location on the lake, very close to several small towns. The most beautiful hiking I have ever seen just short 15 minutes down the road.

Ann, thank you so much for the amazing stay! Place was fabulous and there was a lot of time spent on the dock fishing. Kitchen was well stocked and beds were very comfortable. Endless supply of hot water which is a big deal to me who enjoys long showers! Very clean place! Thanks Ann!

We had a fabulous stay here! Ann’s communication and local recommendations were spot on. Cottage is exactly as described, with so many thoughtful items provided! Far more available spices, kitchen and household items than most rentals. We were able to entertain local friends for dinner several times and had ample room, dishes, cutlery and serving pieces. Linens and towels are of high quality, beds are super comfy and the AC works great. Comfy furniture inside and out and a well appointed boat dock with electricity. Internet worked well. The driveway and steps down to the house are steep, but we were well warned and knew what to expect, so had no issues. We would not hesitate to recommend Ann’s cottage to friends, or to stay here again.
