Fabulous and spacious home from home in beautiful surroundings. Yes, by the main road, but that had little impact. Parking space in front of house perfect for what we needed. Should mention there really is nowhere to buy even a pint of milk in the village (that we found), so be prepared for that, and heating is on a timer that we had no access to. As the rooms were large, including very high ceilings, it was a hard space to heat, and as the weather was a bit cool for end of march, we were a bit chilly at times. There is a fire place to light a fire, which I'm sure would make a big difference, but we hadn't brought any wood/coal and neither of us would have been confident to set and light a fire anyway, so that is just something else to be aware of. But need to stress it was lovely, well equipped accommodation in a beautiful location, certainly to be recommended. Thank you, Mike, for sharing your flat with us 😊

Enjoyed the stay, well located easy walk into Matlock bath and Matlock on the bus route so nice and easy! Bit noisy on the main road but that's mentioned on the booking page so not a problem. Well worth the money i'd happily book again

Spacious clean place right opposite the Heights of Abraham, and our dog loved the carpet texture. If you're tall, mind your head as you go into the kitchen! And please be aware there are NO convenience stores in Matlock Bath itself so if you come via bus as we did, you need to bring your own tea-bags & (plant) milk with you or stop at Matlock first to shop, as it's self-catering.

Great quiet flat 20 mins from Bakewell. There was a misundetstanding with the heating on day 1, so i was freezing that day, but rest of time was spot on.
