Louise’s place was perfect for our weekend stay. The cottage is comfortable and cosy, and in a beautiful location. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.
Louise’s home was a delight. Very comfortable and a great opportunity to unplug from modern living. Pub two doors up was a great opportunity to try great food but very quiet so no disturbances. The house itself has a well equipped kitchen. The bottle of wine and chocolate kept us happy after the journey there! Very good shower, extremely comfortable bed. It’s a quiet neighbourhood and some great walks nearby. Fairly flat as well for anyone wanting to get a run or two in. Louise gibes very thorough notes for visitors and made sure we were adequately prepared. Would highly recommend
I stayed for a few night with my teenage daughter and the property was well suited to this, providing enough space for both of us. Being 13 the small bedroom worked fine for her. The cottage is lovely and cozy and in a great location with views and walks right from the door step. The fully equipped kitchen and log burner were a nice touch as were the wine and biscuits on arrival. The only down side for our stay was that there is extensive building work taking place in the cottage next door. This was very noisy and disruptive from 8am on the Friday, and we decided to leave early on the Sunday to avoid it on Monday morning. I only found out about this on the day of arrival, so might be worth checking with Louse at the point of booking if this is something that will bother you. This is the only reason its not a 5* as was such a shame to spoil the otherwise peaceful location.
Loved every minute of our stay in such a welcoming cottage. We couldn’t have asked for more, even the weather was kind to us. Wouldn’t hesitate to return. A big thank you to Louise.
There are views over Pagham Harbour Nature Reserve from the bed room. The visitor’s centre is a ten minute walk away. When the tide is in it can lap on the road a few metres from the cottage front door.
Beyond are views towards Church Norton, where there is a shingly beach. It is a 45 minute walk around the reserve to the sea. Lovely sandy beaches are a 15 minutes drive to Bracklesham or the Witterings.
The property is close to the renowned Crab and Lobster Restaurant/Bar, with beer garden.
There is a regular bus service to Chichester and Selsey (the nearest town with a range of shops and take-aways).
The Centurion Way cycle track goes from Sidlesham to Chichester (Sustrans regional route 88).
There are a range of footpaths going inland and around the reserve and marsh (tides allowing). You are welcome to bring a dog (contact us for details). Most areas on the reserve require that dogs are kept on leads.

Chichester is a beautiful city with a Norman Cathedral, famous Festival Theatre (where there are leading shows and plays), Pallant House art gallery and excellent shops, including the first Montezuma Chocolate shop. You can still walk on the Roman walls.
Further north is glorious Goodwood, with its racecourse, the Weald and Downland open air museum and the South Downs National Park which has many pubs and walks.
