Fabulous cabin in the woods. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Peaceful, quiet, a nice time outside in the evenings with the fire pit. There were a lot of critters rustling about in the leaves and woods surrounding the cabin at night. Turns out they were armadillos. Cabin a short drive from the Ozark life center in Mountain View. Great crafts and music, and some cute places to dine and shop in town. My only recommendations would be to bring some wasp spray, as there were a few out and about, and also if you want some adult beverages, buy them on the way, as the area is a dry county.

This was by far the best mini vacation my husband and I have ever taken, even with adding the kids. Haha This cabin is private, quiet, and absolutely gorgeous!! Talia keeps everything so amazingly clean, she’s super responsive, and we loved all her little touches of having fire starter for the grill, & fire pit. Coffee to brew for a perfect morning in the porch swing watching the sunrise, oh and even have a nice warm blanket waiting for you on said swing… she keeps a check in book at the entrance that not only allows you to document your experience, but you get to read about others and find the best stuff to do. But if that doesn’t help, don’t worry because she has a nice print out of all the best local sites to see and places to eat!! My family and I CANNOT WAIT to come back soon!

This was our second stay at The Folk Cabin. It's a great place in a great location if you're planning to visit Mountain View and the White River area. The cabin is located close to town, but in a private, peaceful, wooded setting. It's comfortable and clean, and the check-out instructions are simple and reasonable (unlike some AirBnB options).

Such a wonderful house to spend vacation with our family. My kids loved having campfires each night and the fresh wood they provided us was so nice! We visited Blanchard Springs and caught some rainbow trout, we also saw otters, deer and salamanders! So cool!

Perfect place to be in Mountain View. We will always try to book every year since I have family that lives in town only 8 mins away from the cabin. Definitely check it out if your looking around the area!
