Excellent facilities, with separate kitchen, lounge room (sleeper couch) and bedroom with a huge and comfortable bed. Good shower. Great location very close to Blue Water Resort and a swimming beach. Enjoyable 30min walk to restaurants, but rides were offered if wanted. It was hard to find out about the ferry to Eua, and how to get around etc, but we needn't have worried as everything was taken care of by our host. Including making sure we got to and from the ferry, to our accommodation and also tours. Next time we would bring more food because there was not a lot of choice on the island, and many places only catered for their own guests. But we managed!

Tupous places was simple, clean and welcoming. Lots of lovely little extras including hot water, flowers and coffee plungers. Tupou went out of her way to host us including tracking down movies for the kids and a boom box for music. The place was well kept and had everything you needed. I loved the fenced yard with beautiful trees, BBQ pit and enough area for the kids to kick around a ball. Only 3 minutes from the beach we enjoyed swimming, snorkeling and exploring everyday. Tufuvai itself doesn't have any shops so I recommend bringing all your own food or hitchhike into town to pick up a few supplies. Locals are friendly and super helpful. We loved exploring the rain forests - a definite return visit is due.

We are 2 adults with 3 kids (5 to 9 y/o) who spent one week at Tupou's apartment. The apartment is as advertised - it has everything you need, even a washing machine, a microwave and a kettle. Just bear in mind that this is an apartment on an island, it's not built according to western standards (e.g. plastic covering the concrete floor, drinking rain water by getting it with a mug from the outside, cold water shower). As it is in a rural area, we heard lots of pigs, dogs and roosters during day and night. This was no problem for us. There was also a very friendly dog on the property "taking care" of us. The children loved it. We used the apartment as a base for our excursions. The outside of the apartment was not very inviting to us to spend time direclty on the outside (small balcony, no chairs in the garden which was used by the pigs, many mosquitos). It was only a short walk to a wonderful beach. If you stay there, you absolutely have to go to the beach with your snorkelling gear and go to the outside of the reef. This is only possible if the sea is calm. If you get there, the views are incredible. The visibilty in the water was some of the best we ever saw. We spotted various small sharks and an eagle ray. Besides snorkelling, we enjoyed the "standard" excursions to the east and south (beaches there are not suitable for snorkelling). It was interesting to see what the small island has to offer (caves, trees, arches, blow holes etc). Although we didn't meet Topou, she was very responsive to our inquiries. She organized us the transfer from the wharf to the apartment and back, plus a transfer to a rental car company. Everything worked fine. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and could have stayed longer and the value for money at this apartment is really great!
