Tonke and Mink are wonderful hosts, very friendly, extremely helpful and highly recommended. Would visit again and such lovely touches for example a bottle of wine and lots of snacks. Communication throughout and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much best regards Stephen and Karen 🙏🏻

It is a cute house, in the center of Vélez-Málaga. The owners are very kind and welcoming, always responded quickly and gave us lots of information to feel comfortable there. I’d definitely recommend this place for anyone who would stop by Vélez-Malaga for a few days.

La casa muy bien cuidada, el anfitrión de 10, sin embargo , la zona donde se encuentra la casa está apagada, si quieres algo de ambiente tienes que ir a torre del Mar.

Tonke’s place is beautiful, it’s clear that a lot of care has gone into making this a lovely place to stay, it is super clean! I loved retreating to the terrace at the end of a busy day to enjoy the last of the sunshine with a glass of wine! The area has a lovely vibe & Tonke’s recommendations info was great, we enjoyed the deli & bakery to grab food for the day or evening on our travels. La Tetera cafe was really lovely & the owner super friendly for a morning coffee, we also ate lovely evening meals at La Bohemia & El Caserío de las Monias. Recommend exploring Velez while there. We hired a car & had no problems with parking, I parked a 10 min walk away just because I ended up with a larger hire car than expected, so wasn’t as confident to navigate the parking closer to the property, however this wasn’t a problem for us. I travelled with my mum & will definitely be returning to the property with my husband & son in the summer next year! :)

Tonke's house is beautiful. Spotlessly clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. It is at the top end of Velez perfectly situated to explore the narrow streets of the old town, with the newer part of town just a 10 minute walk away. All amenities are close by. There was a welcome pack of drinks and snacks and the kitchen was stocked with staples such as cooking oil, salt, pepper, etc. We cooked a few meals and found everything we needed. The roof terrace catches the sun all day and we loved sitting up there for breakfast or a few sundowners with the swifts entertaining us overhead. The house does have 3 sets of spiral staircase which could be challenging for some. Also, a trade off for the city centre location is parking. We drove around each day looking for a spot. Plaza la Gloria was closed for the first part of our stay but I would advise heading there if you have no joy nearer the house. Great communication with Mink and Tonke. We would definitely stay again!
